Amid growing conversations around AI-generated National Day content and the risk of creative work becoming increasingly generic, Splash chose to celebrate Singapore’s 61st birthday in a deliberately human way: through shared memories, local culture and live creativity.

We collaborated with home-grown DJ Eden Cai and creative collective Trinity to reimagine what a Singapore soundtrack could sound like. Splash Productions and Trinity members Jebson Tan, Eden Cai and Frankie Heng co-curated the song selection, drawing on shared memories, cultural references and musical influences. From the Phua Chu Kang theme and BMT marching chants to familiar local melodies, Cai brought these distinctly Singaporean sounds together in a contemporary DJ set spanning house, disco, soul and bass.

Recorded live at Splash, the project was intentionally raw, spontaneous and human. It was our reminder that while AI can generate content, some of the most meaningful creative ideas still come from lived experiences, shared memories and people creating together.
